CERC as Part of the Earth Institute

CERC is the principal ecology and biodiversity unit of the Earth Institute at Columbia University. Through the appointments of Jeffrey Sachs as director of the Earth Institute and Lee Bollinger as president of Columbia University, the importance of biological diversity has been given new prominence at the University.
